CELEBRATE FAMILY WITH HOME AND FEAST.

Seasonal, fresh, easy recipes. Sometimes healthy, sometimes indulgent, and always delicious. Welcome, I’m Stasia Wimmer, founder of Home And Feast, mother to two, food writer, cook, photographer, and believer in faith. In a world that moves fast, home cooking is an opportunity to slow things down and savor all that is wonderful at home. I hope here you’ll find new recipes that become regulars in your home, and create family traditions to pass down for generations to come.

A FEW PROFESSIONAL DETAILS.

  • In my 20’s: I began my career in the fashion industry, married and became a stay-at-home mom to two.
  • In my 30’s: Having moved far to many times by then to count, I discovered a natural talent for interior design and cooking. I started to cater private parties and decorate homes. By the end of my 30’s I went through a terrible divorce. Made it through with grit, grace, and the love of God.
  • In my 40’s: As a solo parent and with a knack for building websites, I created Home And Feast as a place to share the recipes I made for my catering clients, friends, and family with home cooks around the world.
  • I come from a long line of creatives: A professional chef, interior designer, and a cookbook author, you could say they are my role models and I’m following in their footsteps.
  • Education: I hold a B.S. in Marketing from Woodbury University, and a Certification from The Protocol School of Washington® in Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol.

MY FAMILY.

Time moves quickly and children grow fast. My children are blessings from God and my absolute everything. My oldest is a senior in college attending school across the country, and my youngest is a senior in high school. They are the greatest joys of my life, and I am their biggest fan. I won’t go into more, I’ll just get ridiculously sappy.

"When all the dust is settled and all the crowds are gone, the things that matter are faith, family, and friends." ~Barbara Bush

"In truth a family is what you make it. It is made strong, not by number of heads counted at the dinner table, but by the rituals you help family members create, by the memories you share, by the commitment of time, caring, and love you show to one another, and by the hopes for the future you have as individuals and as a unit." ~Marge Kennedy
